You will need following tools if you decided to replace lcd yourself. Before disassembling your iPhone, be sure it is powered off. Remove the two 3.6 mm Pentalobe P2 screws next to the dock connector. Pull broken lcd screen with small suction cup. Use a plastic opening tool to gently detach the battery connector from the socket on the device. Start lifting off the connector from the bottom side, by placing the tip of the tool between the loudspeaker enclosure and the metal cover of the connector. Remove metal plate holding the lcd connectors. Use ESD safe plastic opener to remove lcd connectors gently from the logic board. Once the lcd is out you can test new lcd before installing front camera and speaker and home button. Reverse the steps and you are done.
