You might want to read some answers to this problem here. iPhone 6 plus has 2 backlight circuit. First of all you have to find out which circuit is faulty. There are two test point where you can check with the multimeter which one is faulty. Both backlight circuit consist of filter, diod, coil and ic. From our experience we hardly find filter is blown. Mostly it is ic itself but it is important to check as you don’t want ic to pull out where it is something else. See in the below picture location of iPhone 6 plus backlight circuit and its component to check.
Once you tested and figure out which one of these two circuit is faulty. Start with the testing the diod D1589 or D1501 with multimeter if it is ok then move to inductor L1589 and L1503 if both are working then IC is faulty which is backlight ic U1580 or U1502. Two test point to check which circuit has failed make sure to check while iPhone is on and turned on as in the below picture
